Aloha and Welcome

The Hawai`i Carpenters Union Local 745 has established a history of meeting, often exceeding, the complex demands of Hawai`i's construction industry.
Across the islands, our work is reflected in world-class resorts and hotels, office high rises, busy shopping malls, government buildings and infrastructure, highways, schools, hospitals, military facilities, private residences and innumerable other structures.
With 5,900 members, we are the largest construction union in the state, providing wages, benefits and services that rival carpenters worldwide. We believe that craftworkers who are well-compensated and well-trained build quality structures that are safe and last over time. This ultimately serves the community.
We have been fortunate to have steadfast signatory contractors competing for projects that put the skills of our membership to work.
We've become a family from a union, with a tradition of unity, fairness and pride in our work since our founding in 1901. We invite you to learn more about the Hawai`i Carpenters Union from this Web site, and to join us in Building a Better Hawai`i.
